Accommodation for people who were granted international protection

Once a person has been granted international protection, he/she can stay in the Integration House or in private accommodation.

People who have no money can be accommodated in the integration house for a maximum of one year, with the possibility of extending the stay for another six months, depending on availability. There are two integration houses in Slovenia, one in Ljubljana and one in Maribor. If the person decides to live in the integration house, a contract must be signed. The integration house is funded by the state, so the accommodation is free of charge.

Accommodation of refugees – students and full-time students

The Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, organizes accommodation for refugees with the status of a student or full-time student without income and others receipts in dormitories.
