Current labour market education and training programs

There are many programs which are organised by the Employment Service and intended primarily for those of you who are registered as unemployed. These descriptions address the potential participant directly (as per July 2019):1

Innovative projects for youth employment

Are you under 29, unemployed and ready for something new? Grab the opportunity! Through training and education in innovative projects, you gain additional skills, get to know your employers, and make your job easier.

We train locally

Have you been unemployed for at least 3 months? Discuss with your personal counselor the possibility of on-the-job training with your employer. Gain additional knowledge, skills and experience to open up new avenues of employment in the most sought after professions in your area.

On-the-job training for young people

Are you under 30 and unemployed for at least 3 months? The program allows you to train at a specific workplace with your employer. Get the hang of it, gain new skills and improve your job prospects.

On-the-job training

With the help of the program, you can gain practical knowledge, skills and experience in a specific workplace at an employer. This is how you get involved in the work environment and increase your job prospects.

Learning workshops

Have you been unemployed for at least two years? Do you have the most elementary school education? Are you over 55? Are you looking for your first job and have been unemployed for at least half a year? Do you have a disabled status and are not included in vocational rehabilitation? Enhance your job opportunities with the practical knowledge, skills and experience gained through on-the-job training from employers in the field of social entrepreneurship.

Non-formal education and training

Are you over 50 and looking for a job? Are you at least 30 years old and have been unemployed for at least 12 months or are you receiving financial social assistance? Are you at least 30 years old with no education or employment? Participate in education or training to perform the job and job requirements that employers ask for. Enhance your job opportunities with additional skills you can apply in a specific workplace.

Non-formal education and training for young people

Are you under 30 and registered as unemployed? Participate in education or training to perform the job and job requirements that employers ask for. You do not have to go back to regular school for this. Enhance your job opportunities with new knowledge and skills you can apply in a specific workplace.

Local non-formal education programs

Are you registered among the unemployed? Participate in education or training to perform the job and job requirements that employers ask for. Enhance your job opportunities with additional knowledge and skills you can apply in a specific job. You do not have to go back to regular school for this.

Employment Promotion Practical Programs – MIC

Are you over 50 and looking for a job? Have you reached the age of 30 or over and have been unemployed for at least 12 months or receiving financial social assistance? Are you at least 30 years old with no education or employment? The program allows you to acquire specific skills, knowledge and skills to do the job, with an emphasis on hands-on training with your employer. By engaging in a work environment, you improve your job prospects.

NPC/TC – Verification and validation of national vocational qualifications

Do you have the knowledge and experience you have gained from working? Or in your spare time, without education? In this program you can check and certify your competence to perform the profession or occupational tasks that employers ask for. You do not have to go back to regular school for this.

PUM-O – Young Adult Project Learning

You haven’t graduated from high school, are you out of work? If you are over 15 and under 26, hurry to the nearest PUM-O and anchor. It’s always going on… Try something new, learn something interesting. This is your ticket to go back to school or find a job.
