Learning Objectives

Once you have completed this course unit,

  • you are familiar with the basic services that an asylum seeker receives,
  • you are aware of general legal regulations on the subject of migration and health care,
  • you know what the electronic health card is,
  • and can inform yourself and others about innovations in health insurance and health care.
This section of the course is intended to give you an overview and some basic information about health insurance and health in asylum procedures. Please note that you do not have to be an expert in this field to support refugees. The aim is to give you a basic orientation so that you can give general advice if necessary and refer them to other counselling centers and experts if necessary.
