  • typical expectations that helpers have;
  • the importance of empathy and self-efficacy in prosocial thinking and acting;
  • the experience of meaningfulness and stress reduction through prosocial behaviour;
  • the psychological concepts of altruism and egoism and their interaction;
  • limits, risks and pitfalls of helping;
  • the Helper Syndrome as an inappropriate approach to altruistic acting.
