Recognition of existing qualifications

For certain so-called „regulated professions“, training from abroad must be officially recognised in Austria if one wishes to pursue this profession in Austria. At www.berufsanerkennung.at you can enter this profession and check whether it is a regulated profession.

Foreign school certificates and foreign academic degrees can be recognised („nostrified“).

For so-called „non-regulated professions“ and school-leaving certificates, an assessment can be made online. This evaluation is intended to provide orientation and can help to evaluate the training in comparison with Austrian training. For school reports, the application can be submitted online and free of charge at www.asbb.at. Vocational training can be evaluated at www.aais.at.
