Summary

In this course unit you got to know the basic features of the German asylum system and you know now which steps an asylum applicant has to go through. You are also able to distinguish between the various forms of protection under which an asylum applicant can be put under and you can name their basic characteristics. You know which residence permits and status there are and what they mean for the person concerned. You know that unaccompanied minors are subject to special regulations and where further information can be obtained. In addition, you know a contact point that provides information on family migration.
