In this course section you learned that nonverbal behaviour plays a very important role in communication. Various aspects of nonverbal signals and features have been depicted and explained. A particular focus was put on the cultural determination of nonverbal behaviour. The awareness of the cultural background of nonverbal communication is a precondition for avoiding pitfalls and irritation when working with people from different regions and cultures.
