In this learning unit you will

  • get to know several definitions of culture
  • be able to compare and assess different cultural concepts
  • learn about manifestations of culture and the position of culture between human nature and personality
  • be able to differentiate between universal, inherited features and others that are learned and group specific
  • become acquainted with the Cultural Onion Model by Hofstede and its elements
  • learn about the six cultural dimensions defined by Hofstede, their meaning and impact on communities
