Some models illustrate culutral elements and dimensions: The Cultural Onion Model and its components shows how symbols, heroes, rituals and practices describe the appearance of a certain culture and how this image is influenced by basic values and attitudes.

The six dimensions of culture defined by Hofstede make it possible to compare different cultures all over the world, their convictions and practices.
