As a volunteer in refugee aid you need special skills and strategies to cope with the psychological and mental challenges of your work. In this course you can deepen the knowledge gained from the previous courses of this online module by means of practical examples, exercises and self reflection tasks.

We will come back to the concepts of altruism and egoism and show how their combination can help to manage your tasks sucessfully.

The course will also discuss the motives of volunteers in refugee aid and stimulate you to reflect your own motives and expectations.

Concluding, we will encourage you to care for yourself and to manage your personal resources carefully. We will show you some useful ways of recovering and finding your individual balance.
