„Unaccompanied foreign minors“
(Article 2 of Law 47/2017)
The term “unaccompanied foreign minor” on the Italian territory refers to:
“a minor of non-Italian and non-EU citizenship who arrives in the national territory for whatever reason, or is otherwise subject to the Italian jurisdiction, without any assistance and representation by his parents or other legally responsible adults according to the legislation currently in force in Italy”.
