Summary

In this course, you have gained an insight into the regulations governing the initial admission of asylum seekers to basic care.

You are now familiar with the general regulation for accommodation for asylum seekers and for people who were granted international protection.

You can give them advice how to find private accommodation or temporary shelter if they have no resources to rent a flat.

You are also informed about the Slovenian social welfare services and familiar with some of the essential state welfare support services, especially financial social assistance, other social services, welfare benefits for the family and for people with disabilities.

Moreover, you know which NGO’s can offer help and can provide support for refugees.
